How to Set Up and Generate E-Invoices in BUSY

E-invoicing is needed once your turnover crosses the government limit. BUSY generates the IRN and QR code from the sale bill itself. These steps follow BUSY's help on busy.in.

One-time setup

1. Turn it on

   Administration > Configuration > Features / Options: enable e-invoice under GST.

2. Print IRN and QR

   Configuration > Invoice / Document Printing: in your sales invoice format enable the QR code and IRN, Ack. No. and Ack. Date printing (in an Advance format, add these fields to the design).

3. Voucher series

   In voucher series configuration, set the sales series to generate the e-invoice after saving.

Every bill

1. Save the bill

   In the transport window keep e-invoice required = Yes. After saving, answer Yes to generate the e-invoice (Automatic).

2. Check possible errors

   Fix anything shown in red: GSTIN, pin code, HSN, state.

3. Generate and print

   Generate and view e-invoice > Generate. The print shows the QR code, IRN, Ack. No. and date.

E-invoice is a GST online service: it needs an active BUSY plan or BLS. BUSY Magic Smart and above include e-invoices and e-way bills (up to the limit of the plan).
